| The Fishery Dept encourages the villagers not to overfished, but instead organised themself to protect the fish. Those who are caught fishing will be fined 1 head of buffalo as punishment. Once every 2 to 3 years, when there is a prolonged dry season, the water level will drop significantly and the villagers will then harvest the fish. The event is called "Bom-Bom" and lasted the whole day. The catch are evently distributed among the families. | |||||||
